Habana Cafe: Cozy and Cool Place for Salsa Dancing in HB!
Habana Cabana - 18552 Beach Blvd
Salsa Dancing Fri, Sat, Sun
No Cover: $4 Mojitos, Margaritas & Sangrias after 8:00.
Voted the best Cuban food in OC by OC Weekly.
I can't believe how much fun this little Cuban restaurant offers. Habana Cafe is located at 5 points, that's where Ellis meets Main St. at the corner of Beach and Main/Ellis.
Check them out on a Friday Night or Saturday Night. On Friday Night there is no cover and lots of opportunity to dance to great music. I hear on Saturday Night it may get crowded. Keep in mind that it's a small place, (kinda like Tapas when it first opend up years ago remember?), so I recommend taking someone in case partners are hard to find.d
I found it to be very mellow in attitude and filled with great dancers from all backgrounds. I mean everyone I saw was a great dancer! It was nice! The drinks are fair and the bar service is nice. Meet fellow Salsa or Dance Enthusiasts; it was nice to see so many other style dancers with thier own personal expression of Salsa.
I have already had the food there and let me tell ya, its fantastic. Come early for Dinner and Stay for Dancing.
Great place to make new friends or get the evening started before heading out to another party.
I here Salsa at Romeo's in Laguna is also nice and that's the next stop.
Know of any places that are great for dancing? Pass them along.
See you on the dance floor!
